Below are photos of wildflowers taken on a drive to Lancaster, California, on April 28, 2001. We had driven the same route a month earlier and had found almost no wildflowers, but on this trip, we were treated to several spectacular displays.Click on the small images below to view the larger versions. The first two photos were taken in the hills near Gorman, and the remaining photos were taken along Highway 138 near the California Poppy Reserve.
